| This is an unusual image for me. I usually go for maximum sharpness and depth-of-field -- the tripod-mounted, aperture stopped-down, f/64 school of thought. This shot was hand-held and only two selected leaves are sharp, the remainder left to an impressionistic blur. There is something that I instinctively love about this image, though, something in the flow of the leaves and the balance of the composition that I can't identify cognitively. |
