Cathedral Peak at Dawn

(order ID # CT35-01795-A)

Yosemite's Cathedral Peak, viewed here from Tuolumne Meadows, is a jagged two-pronged mountain that I find so typical of the harsh geology of the High Sierra. This region of the Sierra is like a serrated saw blade. And for some reason seated unfathomably deep in my psyche, I love it. Barren and intimidating to be sure, but also dramatic and awe-inspiring. For me, a trip to the High Sierra is truly a visit to a cathedral of nature, a sacred place that fills me with peace and joy.
