| This is Running Eagle Falls in the Two Medicine area of Glacier National Park. It was once known to the Park Service as Trick Falls, for the unique way that most of the flow appears from an orifice halfway down the cliff. It was renamed Running Eagle Falls in honor of the great Blackfoot female warrior Running Eagle (Pitamakin in Blackfoot), who frequented this area on her travels and meditations. |
