| This miniature scene arrested me as I was hiking up Bluff Mountain in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom near the town of Island Pond. I found the single blazing leaf contrasting with the colors and textures of wood and stone to be riveting. I certainly didn't have to worry about wind, so I could stop all the way down for maximum depth of field, especially important in a close-up such as this. |
