Brighton Birch

(order ID # CT35-01990-A)

This birch and its cloak of low maples stood opposite the ranger station for Brighton State Park in Vermont's Northeast Kingdom. I'd pass it twice a day every day I stayed at the Park. I probably shot it twice a day, too, for it was a simple but attractive subject. No rule states that beautiful images cannot be found close to home. I used my 200 mm lens to extract only the necessary details out of the more general and more chaotic scene.
