| In olden days, death was a more visible part of life, and cemeteries were placed in the center of towns instead of hidden on the periphery. This graveyard in the hamlet of Granby, in northeastern Vermont, is right by the side of the road. It is peaceful and beautiful, inviting one to pause and enjoy the day while at the same time honoring one's ancestors. The day was partly cloudy, so to get soft light on the scene I waited until a cloud covered the sun. |
