| The Tashi Dor Monastery is on the Tashi Dor peninsula sticking into Nam-tso, a magnificent lake northwest of Lhasa. Every monastery boasts an array of colorful prayer flags, flags that are imprinted with Buddhist prayers. As the flags flap in the wind, these prayers are sent skyward. Tashi Dor is at the foot of a wonderful bluff, a natural place to string the flags to. I got in close with a wide angle lens to try to emphasize the swoop and color of these emblems of Buddhism. |
