I was racing to Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite National Park to reach the campground there before the office closed. I snagged a spot with minutes to spare, and then drove a few hundred yards to find this roadside view. An unseasonably early storm had left a dusting of snow on the mountains, and the clearing clouds added interest to the last rays of sun hitting the peak of Mt. Gibbs. I stayed in the campground for four days, and never got a better scene than this one, grabbed at the last possible second on my first day. |
